Ball State has a rich tradition of professional baseball players and updates on the Cardinals in the pro ranks in 2013 are available at www.ballstatesports.com.

Kolbrin Vitek, who was a first round Major League Baseball draft pick in 2010, is with the Portland Sea Dogs of the Double-A Eastern League.  He has 208 at-bats this season and is hitting .207 with 43 hits, nine doubles, one triple and 14 runs-batted-in.  Vitek is hitting at a .286 pace in his last 10 games.

Perci Garner, selected in the second round of the 2010 MLB Draft, is with the Reading Fightin Phils of the Double-A Eastern League.  He owns a 7-6 pitching record in 2013 and has struck out 109 batters.  Garner was called up to Triple-A Lehigh Aug. 19, and picked up the win after throwing 5.2 innings, allowing only six hits and striking out seven.

Brad Snyder, a 2003 MLB Draft pick, is with the Reno Aces of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League.  He is hitting .303 in 112 games with 27 doubles, five triples and 10 home runs.  Snyder has 55 RBI this season and is hitting at a .333 clip in his last 10 games. 

Jeremy Hazelbaker, who was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 2009 MLB Draft, is batting .263 for Triple-A Pawtucket of the International League.  He is batting at a .273 clip in his last 10 games, including two doubles and one home run with three RBI.

Dean Anna, a 2008 MLB Draft pick, is batting .333 for the Tucson Padres of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League.  Anna is hitting .316 with seven RBI in his last 10 games.
