Ball State baseball had six student-athletes receive recognition on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, including Cody Campbell, who was a first-team selection.
Campbell, who owns a 3.93 grade-point average on Ball State’s 4.0 scale as a pre-med major, played in 54 games with 51 starts for the Cardinals in 2013. The junior designated hitter/first baseman batted .293 with a team-high 42 runs-batted-in for Ball State. He was second on the team with 87 total bases, third on the team with 13 doubles, tied for third with four home runs and tied for second on the squad with two triples.
Beemer owns a 3.643 GPA as a business administration major, while Moeller has a 3.30 cumulative GPA as an exercise science major. Schlotter owns a 3.34 GPA as an accounting major, Weir cumulated a 3.56 GPA as a finance major and Wellman has a 3.92 as an exercise science major.
The Cardinals tallied a 31-24 overall record in 2013, including a 15-12 MAC mark. Ball State advanced to the championship game of the MAC Tournament last season after finishing second in the MAC West Division in the regular season.
