Paul Henry was an All-American shortstop for the Cardinals from 2000-'02, shining during the final years of Rich Maloney's first tenure in Muncie.  He was a seventh round selection of the Orioles, as a pitcher, in the 2002 MLB draft.

Henry's most impressive season with the Cardinals was his sophomore campaign.  He hit .411 that year with a 2.92 ERA in 10 appearances on the mound.  That college season was followed by a trip to the prestigous Cape Cod Baseball League for the summer, where Henry would win a league title (pictured) with the Wareham Gateman. The All-American would go on, however, to follow that season up with a 12 homer barrage in 2002.

Drafted to be a pitcher, Henry would accrue a 12-11 record and a 4.82 ERA in four seasons, reaching as high as A-Advanced in the Orioles system in 2004.

In this audio interview from a Cardinals game earlier this season, Henry unlocks the secrets to his success at Ball State.  He also touches on his most memorable battles in the minors, including facing future big leaguers Brian McCann and B.J. Upton while in A-ball.
