Ball State's baseball team, under the direction of head coach Rich Maloney who tallied his 600th career victory Saturday, suffered a 13-9 loss to Bradley Sunday in Nashville, Tenn.

The Cardinals fall to 3-4 on the season, while Bradley improved to 2-5 on the year.  Sunday's game wrapped up Ball State's four game series in Nashville, Tenn., and the Cardinals will now prepare for their spring trip -- a series of eight games in 10 days.

Bradley jumped out to an early 5-1 lead after three innings, and then a six-run fifth inning put the lead at 11-1.  The Cardinals responded by outscoring the Braves 8-2 in the final four frames before suffering the loss.  Bradley managed 13 runs on 14 hits, while Ball State tallied nine runs on nine hits.

Cody Campbell led Ball State with a 3-for-5 performance with three runs-batted-in, a double, a triple and one run scored.

Blake Beemer managed two hits in four at-bats with one RBI and scored three runs from the leadoff spot in the batting order.

Kyle Raleigh suffered the loss, pitching 2.1 innings and allowing four earned runs, while striking out three.

Ball State used six pitchers in the contest -- its fourth game in three days.  Matt Johnsen pitched two innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out three.

The Cardinals will face Morehead State to start off their spring trip in a three-game series beginning Friday.  The teams will meet Friday at 3 p.m., and play each one game Saturday and one game Sunday.
