Ball State's baseball team suffered a 14-5 loss at Louisville in the second game of a three game series Saturday afternoon. The third game of the series is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.
Ball State falls to 3-11 on the season, all of which has been played on the road to this point. Louisville improved to 13-6, and is ranked 21st in the country.
T.J. Weir started the game on the mound for Ball State and lasted 3 2/3 innings, allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out one and walking two. With the loss, Weir falls to 0-4 on the season.
Elbert Devarie and Kirby Campbell led Ball State with two hits apiece, while Campbell managed two runs-batted-in. Billy Wellman was 1-for-2 from the plate with one RBI, while Devarie and Weir added an RBI apiece. Campbell added his first triple of the year.
