Men's Swim and Dive Gears Up for MAC Championships

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men’s swimming and diving team is gearing up for the 2014 MAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships held at the UB Natatorium hosted by the State University of New York Buffalo. The event runs Thursday, Mar. 6 through Saturday, Mar. 8.

Last season the Cardinals finished in sixth place with 186 points. Joseph Morris won the lone medal for Ball State with a silver medal in the 200 breast while also establishing a school record in the 100 breast. Drew Tharp advanced to the event finals in the 100 and 200 fly while Michael Weber advanced to the finals of the 200 back and 200 IM. Michael Oaks made it through to the 200 free finals last season.

The 400 medley relay of Weber, Morris, Tharp and Oaks finished fifth at the championships last season after establishing a school record in the event.

Diver Jake Brehmer finished 14 in the 1-meter and 15th in the 3-meter.
