MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's swimming and diving team will open its home schedule by hosting MAC foe Bowling Green at Lewellen Pool Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. The Cardinals are currently 1-0 in the conference after defeating Akron last weekend.
Last season the Cardinals took a 167-127 win in Muncie over the Falcons. Bridgette Ruehl (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) and Haley Richter (Roanoke, Ind./Columbia City) took first place in their respective events. BSU placed first in all 16 events.
In the dual meet against Akron, several Cardinals had impressive showings. Richter set a personal record in the 200 fly and also won the 100 fly. Ruehl claimed victories in the 100 and 200 breast, while Carlena Magley (Waterloo, Ind./DeKalb), Jillian Bischoff (Atlanta, Ind./Hamilton Heights), Emily Wisolek (Middlebury, Ind./Northridge) and Kayla Hussey (Goshen, Ind./Goshen) claimed first in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 free respectively.
