Hague Tabbed Top MAC Golfer for Third Time this Fall
MUNCIE, Ind. -- After firing a school-record round of 5-under par 66 during the Hoosier Fall Invitational, Ball State’s Jenna Hague was selected as the Mid-American Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week.
A junior from Burlington, Ontario, Hague has now earned the award three times this fall and eight times in her career.
Hague tied for sixth place at the Hoosier Fall Invitational along with teammate Sarah Westaway. Her second-round 66 was the lowest in school history by three strokes and was part of her three-round total of 217 at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood, Ind.
Hague and Westaway led Ball State to a fourth-place finish in a strong field of 16 teams that included eight of the top 100 in the country. The pair also helped the Cardinals set the school record for lowest 54-hole score at 888.
Hague beat three of the other four top-100 golfers in the field and moved into to a tie for 80th in this week’s Golfstat individual national rankings.
The Hoosier Fall Invitational was the final event of the fall season for Ball State, which will now take a break from competition until February.
