MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State women's golfer Jenna Hague begins postseason play this week at the NCAA Central Regional in Stillwater, Okla.

Hague, who was selected for the field as an individual, will tee off in the first round Thursday at 8:25 a.m. CT (9:25 ET). The junior from Burlington, Ontario, is paired with two other individual competitors, Purdue's Aurora Kan and TCU's Sanna Nuutinen.

The regional features 54 holes over three days at Oklahoma State's Karsten Creek Golf Club. A total of 24 teams plus six individuals will be competing in Stillwater, which is one of three regional sites across the country. Live scoring for each site is available at golfstat.com.

Hague will be the second Ball State women's golfer to compete in NCAA postseason play. Brittany Kelly played in the 2011 Central Regional for the Cardinals, tying for 63rd out of 126 golfers at Notre Dame's Warren Golf Course with a score of 233 (79-79-75).

Hague's 74.03 scoring average this year is on pace to break Kelly's school-record mark from that season by more than a full stroke. A member of the All-Mid-American Conference First Team for the second straight year, Hague has been ranked as high as No. 71 in the country and reached as high as No. 35 in the Golfstat Cup race for adjusted stroke average.

She is the only MAC golfer this year – male or female – to make a regional as an individual and just the third women’s golfer in league history to earn a spot as an individual.

Hague won two tournaments this season – The Preview and Illinois State’s Redbird Invitational – to bring her career total to six. She finished among the top 10 in nine of her 10 starts while also setting the Ball State scoring records for both 18 holes (66) and 54 holes (214).

Nine of the 24 teams in Stillwater are ranked among the top 25 in the Golfstat rankings: No. 3 UCLA, No. 4 Arkansas, No. 9 Alabama, No. 10 Arizona, No. 15 LSU, No. 16 Oklahoma State, No. 21 Florida, No. 22 North Carolina and No. 25 Ohio State. MAC champion Kent State is also at Karsten Creek.

The top eight teams at the conclusion of the regional plus the top two golfers not associated with one of those teams will advance to the NCAA Nationals later this month in Tulsa, Okla.
