The Ball State women’s golf team will compete this weekend in its final tournament before the Mid-American Conference Championships.
The Cardinals are in Bowling Green, Ohio, for the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational. The 36-hole tournament begins Saturday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for round one. The second and final round will be played Sunday.
The tournament will be contested at Stone Ridge Golf Club, which will be set up at 5,960 yards and play to a par of 72.
Ball State is one of 14 teams in the field, including five other MAC schools: Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois and Ohio.
The rest of the field includes Chicago State, Cleveland State, Detroit, Illinois-Chicago, IPFW, Oakland, South Dakota State and Western Illinois.
Ball State is coming off a sixth-place team finish the last time out at the UNCW Seahawk Classic. Hague, Perry and Welch each finished in the top 25 individually.
The Cardinals are preparing to host the MAC Championships in two weeks. The championships will be played April 25-27 at The Hawthorns in Fishers, Ind.
