Women's Golf Ties for Fourth at The Preview


Ball State's women's golf team tied for fourth out of 14 teams at The Preview Tournament at The Hawthorns Golf Club in Fishers, Ind.

The Cardinals managed a 317-306=623, while Toledo won the event with a 621.  Akron placed second with a 621 after losing the top spot in a playoff, while Eastern Michigan was third and Western Michigan tied Ball State for fourth.

Jenna Hague was the Cardinals' top finisher and tied for fifth overall with a 77-74=151.  Autumn Duke tied for 14th with an 80-75=155.  Meghan Perry tied for 25th after carding an 81-77=158, and Katie Windlan tied for 27th with a 79-80=159.  Chantelle Hefer tied for 41st with an 81-81=162.

Jamie Caylor and Sarah Westaway competed as individuals at the event.  Caylor tied for 27th with an 80-79=159, and Westaway managed an 81-83=164 to tie for 49th.

Joining the Cardinals at the event were Akron, Bowling Green, Butler, Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Michigan, Indiana State, IUPUI, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Southern Illinois, Toledo and Western Michigan.
