Welch won four events as a sophomore for UW-Stevens Point.  She managed a first place finish at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships with a 79-78-81=238.  In addition, Welch won the Georgianni Memorial Invitational, the UW-Oshkosh Invitational and the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational.  Welch managed a top-10 finish in nine of the 10 events she competed in during the 2011-12 season, while averaging 79.60 on the season.

Welch received honorable mention on the 2011-12 National Golf Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-America Team to become only the second golfer in UW-Stevens Point history to receive the honor.  She was named to the NGCA Central All-Region Team in 2011-12.

With two years of eligibility remaining at Ball State, Welch plans to major in accounting.
