This season the Intercollegiate Tennis Association has put trial rules in place to shorten the matches in hopes to bring more attention to the sport and for collegiate tennis. The first change affects the doubles matches. Previously, all doubles matches were eight-game prosets and now they are six-game prosets with a 5-5 tiebreaker.
After the match Saturday, the Ball State men's tennis team will return to action Feb. 19 for a 1 p.m. match at Xavier.
