The Ball State men's tennis team fell to 14-7 on the season after losing to No. 41 Notre Dame, Saturday by a score of 6-1.
The Irish took an early 1-0 advantage over the Cardinals after winning the doubles point. The No. 1 Ball State doubles twosome of Dalton Albertin and Ray Leonard almost pulled off a near upset over Niall Fitzgerald and Casey Watt but lost 9-8 (7-4).
In singles action the lone Cardinal to walk away with a victory was Albertin who managed a 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win over Watt on court one. The remainder of the Cardinals lost in straight sets.
The Ball State men's tennis team will begin Mid-American Conference action Saturday, April 7 at Northern Illinois. The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. (EST).
