Menís Golf Hands out Postseason Awards

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State men's golf team handed out its 2013-14 postseason awards this summer.

McCormick Clouser was named the team’s MVP, while Tyler Merkel received the Earl Yestingsmeier Student-Athlete Award. Albert Jennings was selected as the team’s most improved golfer.

McCormick Clouser: MVP
Clouser was a second-team All-Mid-American Conference selection after leading the Cardinals with a 75.00 stroke average. The Bluffton, Ind., product posted four top-20 finishes on the season and was also named to the Academic All-MAC Team.

Tyler Merkel: Earl Yestingsmeier Student-Athlete Award
Merkel was named to the Academic All-MAC Team for the third straight year. The Evansville, Ind., product graduated with a 3.87 GPA in business administration. He finished his career second in school history with a 73.99 scoring average and was Ball State's male recipient of the inaugural MAC Medal of Excellence in the spring.

Albert Jennings: Most Improved
Jennings played in five events, including the season-ending MAC Championships. He managed a 76.91 stroke average for the year and posted his best career finish with a third-place result at the Earl Yestingsmeier Memorial Invitational.
