MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State women's basketball seniors center Amber Crago (Huntington, Ind./North) and guard Megan Craft (Terre Haute, Ind./South Vigo), were named to the 2012 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Honorable Mention Team, as voted by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions.

Crago was a member of the Ball State 2008-09 squad that claimed  its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory as it handed Tennessee its only first round NCAA Tournament loss in program history.  The Cardinals won its third straight MAC West Division title and earned the school's first MAC Tournament championship during the course of her freshman year.  During her four years at Ball State, she managed a career- high in scoring with 12 points at Western Michigan in 2010 and then brought down a personal best 13-rebound performance at Central Michigan that same season.  She boasts a 3.5 GPA in family consumer science.

Craft joined the squad in 2010-11 as a transfer from Vincennes University where she was named an All-American Honorable Mention.   Her career best as a Cardinal was against in-state rival, Butler, where she had a career best 16 point performance as a junior.  Craft also went a perfect 5-for-5 from behind the arc that game versus Butler.  As a senior she owns a 3.3 GPA in business and marketing.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
