Ball State rallied off 18 points in the first five minutes of the second half building a 66-33 cushion over Oakland City.  The 18 point run was highlighted by layups from Fontaine, Bennett and junior guard Shelbie Justice along with three point baskets from Carter and Woody.  Ball State then continue its strong offense the remainder of the ball game for the victory.

After a slow first half start, Ball State put together a 19-1 run that eventually led to 48-25 halftime advantage over Oakland City.  During that run, Morrison and Carter hit back-to-back three pointers making it a 17-6 ball game at the 12:40 mark. At intermission, seven of the ten Cardinals had already gotten on the board with Fontaine leading the way with 12.
