Rekha Patterson joins the Ball State program in 2013 having spent the last two seasons as the associate coach/recruiting coordinator at Baylor.  She helped the Bears to a 74-2 record and the 2012 national title.

Patterson joins BallStateSports.com's Joel Godett to discuss returning literally to her old office, her prior experience with Brady Sallee, what it was like to coach Brittany Griner and what he goals are with the Cardinals program.

Prior to Baylor, Patterson coached at Creighton (2007-08), Ball State (2006-07) and Eastern Illinois (2004-06), where she was the post coach under Sallee.  At Eastern Illinois, she helped current Ball State assistant coach Rachel Galligan to Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year accolades. Galligan led the OVC in blocked shots during the 2005-06 season, posting 61 on the year to shatter the previous EIU single-season record of 46, which dated back to 1982.

Patterson played her collegiate basketball at North Carolina A&T.
