The Ball State women's basketball staff will host four camps in June of 2013; the elite camp, youth individual camp, 1 day team shootout and 3 day team camp.
"We are excited for this summer and to be able to offer all the camps that we have set up this year, said Ball State head women's basketball coach Brady Sallee. "We have added some options that we feel will provide every level of athlete an opportunity to learn and play the game we all love. I look forward to seeing our campus busting at the seams with young players, excited to experience our program and Ball State University."
The four camp options is as follows:
elite camp (June 9, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m./Grades 9-12)
youth Individual camp (June 10-12, k-4th 8 a.m. to noon and grades 5-8, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.), 1 day team shoot out (June 13) and 3 day team camp (June 21-23).
The Elite camp is a day camp designed for high school girls who want to improve their skill set to a college level. The campers will not only experience development of their skills on the court but also off the court. They will learn about Ball State University, how the recruiting process works and what it takes to be a student-athlete.
Youth Individual Camp is a four-day camp based on fundamentals which is designed for girls that fit the age range of kindergarten through fourth grade from 8 a.m. until noon. The afternoon session will welcome the age range of fifth grade throught eigth grade from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The campers will get the opportunity to learn how to play the game of basketball.
Both team camps are designed for high school junior varsity and varsity level teams. The coaches are allowed to create a schedule that best fits their team needs as far as level of competition and overall affordability.
