| 2012-2013: Patterson, a familiar face to the Mid-American Conference, comes to Ball State after spending the 2011-12 season at Kent State University as an assistant coach. Before joining the Golden Flashes staff, he was the associate head coach at the University of Findlay from 2004-11. Patterson also had coaching stints at West Liberty State College (2002-04) where he served as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's basketball programs. He began his coaching career at Kent State in 2000 where he helped the Golden Flashes to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances (2001 & 2002) which included advancing to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight in 2002 along with a No. 12 national ranking. Patterson earned his bachelors at Malone College in 1999 and a master degree from Kent State in 2002. | ||||||||||||||||
