Scouting Ball State:  The Cardinals suffered a 61-37 loss to Buffalo Saturday at Worthen Arena.  For the game junior guard Shanee' Jackson led the Cardinals with nine points including 2-of-3 shooting from behind the arc.  Senior forward Suzanne Grossnickle had eight points and five rebounds on the day.  Currently Ball State is led in scoring by sophomore forward Jazmin Hitchens (9.5 ppg) and freshman guard Brittany Carter (9.3 ppg).  Grossnickle leads the Cardinals defensively with 4.1 rebounds per contest.  Ball State enters Saturday's contest with an overall record of 8-15 and a 3-7 Mid-American Conference mark.

Scouting Ohio :  The Bobcats are coming off of a 50-46 loss to Northern Illinois Saturday.  Ohio University enters Saturday's contest with an overall record of 10-14 and a Mid-American Conference mark of 3-7.  The Bobcats have two players currently averaging double figures with Tenishia Benson leading the way with 14.3 points per game and Shavon Robinson averaging 10.0 points ppg.  Benson also pulls down a team high 6.6 rebounds per contest.

The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her fourth season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 57-62 (.478), while her Mid-American Conference mark is 28-30 . . . Semeka Randall is in her fourth season at Ohio. . . Randall overall record at Ohio is 40-76 and owns a MAC record of 18-40.

The Series:  This is the 54th meeting between Ball State and Ohio . . . The Bobcats lead the all-time series record 28-25 .  . . Ohio won its last meeting over the Cardinals 68-59 last season in Worthen Arena . . . Ball State has not earned a victory in Athens since the 2005-06 season under the direction of Tracy Roller when the Cardinals beat the Bobcats by a score of 80-63.
