Scouting Ball State: The Cardinals are coming off of a 75-56 road win against Kent State Wednesday, where three Ball State players managed double digits including a 16-point game-high performance from junior guard Shanee' Jackson. Senior forward Suzanne Grossnickle earned a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds which included 6-for-6 shooting from the field. Sophomore guard Brandy Woody also added 13-points on the night. Ball State enters Saturday's contest with an overall record of 8-14 and a Mid-American Conference mark of 3-6. Leading the way for the Cardinals is sophomore forward Jazmin Hitchens who is averaging 10.0 points per game while her and Grossnickle both average a team-high 4.1 rebounds a contest.
Scouting Buffalo: The Bulls are coming to Worthen Arena Saturday on a three-game losing streak after losing at Western Michigan Thursday night, 102-92. Buffalo's lone MAC victory came over Northern Illinois on Jan. 22 by a score of 65-46. Leading the Bulls in scoring is Brittney Hedderson averaging 20.7 points per game. Nytor Longar tops the boards, averaging 5.7.
The Coaches: Ball State head coach Kelly Packard is in her fourth season at Ball State . . . Packard's overall record at Ball State is 57-61 (.483), while her Mid-American Conference mark is 28-29 . . . Linda Hill-MacDonald is in her seventh season at Buffalo. . . Hill-MacDonald's overall record at Buffalo is 71-130 and owns a MAC record of 32-73.

Packard and Staff Will Go Shoeless For Charity Saturday: Ball State head women's basketball coach Kelly Packard has joined the Barefoot Coaching Program for Samaritan's Feet, a non-profit organization that provides shoes to underprivileged children.
"I am excited to bring Samaritan's Feet, particularly, the Barefoot Coaching Movement, to Ball State University," said Packard. "The Barefoot Coaching platform assists Samaritan's Feet in raising funds in order to take shoes directly to underprivileged children. The shoes meet a physical need, and the personal touch of the delivery and distribution of the shoes creates hope."
Packard will coach Barefoot for Bare Feet when the Cardinals host Buffalo at home in Mid-American Conference action, Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1 p.m, in Worthen Arena.
