WBB Adds Indiana Transfer to Roster

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State women's basketball head coach Brady Sallee has announced the addition of Indiana transfer guard Candyce Ussery who will join the Cardinals roster in 2013-14.

"We were on the lookout for a transfer over the break, but we wanted it to be a perfect fit," said Sallee.  "I believe we found that player in Candyce. The combination of her skill and Big Ten experience is exactly what the doctor ordered.   I think she can help us in multiple positions and I'm excited to get her into practice soon. Candyce is an impressive young lady and I can't wait for our fan base to get to know her better!"

Ussery joins the Cardinals after spending her freshman year with the Hoosiers.  At IU she appeared in all 30 games where she made her collegiate debut at Central Arkansas.  She scored a career-high 10 points last season at Purdue on Feb. 26 off of 4-of-7 shooting along with pulling down two rebounds and a steal.  Ussery then matched her 10 point performance in the Big Ten Tournament against Michigan State where she went 3-of-5 from the field, 2-of-3 from 3-point range and and 2-of-3 form the charity stripe.
