MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ball State athletic department has announced its basketball television schedule for the conference portion of the season, which includes Ball State Sports Network games and contests that will air as part of the Mid-American Conference television package.
Five men's games and two women's games are guaranteed for television through those two outlets, while four more games are wildcard options that could be selected for TV.
The Ball State Sports Network will televise a total of four men's games with three on the road -- Jan. 9 at Eastern Michigan, Jan. 19 at Central Michigan and Jan. 26 at Miami University -- and one at home, Feb. 16 versus Eastern Michigan.
All Ball State Sports Network broadcasts of men's games will air live in Muncie on WIPB-TV and will be carried throughout the state by the complete group of affiliates listed below.
The Feb. 9 men's home game versus Western Michigan will air as part of the MAC television package on Sports Time Ohio. The Cardinals could also have up to three additional games selected as wildcard matchups as part of the MAC and ESPN packages. Depending on clearance, the Sports Time Ohio broadcasts could also air on Comcast Indiana 81.
The women's team will have at least two games televised during conference play. The Jan. 19 game with Kent State will air as part of the MAC package on Sports Time Ohio, while the Feb. 23 contest against Northern Illinois will be televised by the Ball State Sports Network on WIPB.
