TAMPA, Fla. - - The Ball State outdoor track & field team closed competition in the USF Bulls Invitational with 11 career-best efforts Friday afternoon at the USF Track & Field Stadium.
In addition to the 11 career-best performances, the Cardinals picked up five individual top 10 efforts with a limited squad at the two-day meet.
Redshirt junior Hannah Lange (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville) was one of three Cardinals to earn a sixth-place individual finish, turning in a career-fast time of 57.40 in the 400m dash.
Freshman Olivia Ashba (Ellettsville, Ind./Edgewood) placed sixth in the 400m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 1:04.02 in her first collegiate race in the event.
Rounding out Ball State’s top individual performers was junior Haley Austin (Avon, Ind./Avon) with a sixth-place finish in the high jump, successfully clearing the bar at 1.63m.
The Ball State outdoor track & field team is scheduled to return to action next Friday (March 28), when it travels to Purdue for the two-day Mike Poehlein Invitation.
