Located just off campus, across the street from Ball State’s football complex, Ball Diamond serves as the Cardinals’ home field.
In recent years, the stadium has undergone major improvements, including: a brick wall backstop with a protective net, a new sound system paid for by a donation from former player Brad Snyder, and an astroturf halo around home plate. In 2006, the outfield fence received improvements, and prior to the 2007 season, a new scoreboard will be in place.
The field measures 330 feet down the lines, 365 to the power alleys and 400 to straight away center. Slats in the fence and shrubbery beyond the fence provide an excellent hitting background.
