MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State women's swimming and diving head coach Kristy Castillo announced the signing of two swimmers and one diver for the 2014-15 season.

“I am excited for the opportunity to coach these young ladies,” Castillo said.  “All have the qualities academically and athletically that we look for as Cardinals. They will make an impact right away and have their sights set high, which will mesh well with our team.”

Morgan Brebberman (Maumee, Ohio/Maumee HS), Taylor Fiew (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights HS) and Sydney Harris (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider HS) have each signed NLI's and will join the recruiting class that already includes Hannah Cressman, Amanda Kedzierski, Traci Muszalski, Haley Phipps, Andrea Richter, Kaiti Sullivan and Jenna Zitkus, all of who signed in November.

Brebberman is a mid-distance specialist; she also competes at the 200 and 500 distance in freestyle along with the mile and 100 back.  As a senior, she was an Ohio High School state qualifier in the 200 freestyle and also the 500 freestyle.  Brebberman also competed on the track team at Maumee High School.

Fiew will join the Cardinals after representing Pendleton Heights High School in diving.  As a junior, Fiew qualified for the IHSAA girls state swim meet after finishing sixth at the Fishers Regional in diving.  She also won the Hoosier Heritage Conference while setting the school record.  Fiew will compete in the one-meter and three-meter diving events for Ball State this fall.

Harris will join the Cardinals after transferring from Olivet Nazarene University.  She is an Indiana native as she attended Fort Wayne Snider High School.  Harris specializes in the 100 and 200 breaststroke while also competing in the 200 IM.  At Olivet Nazarene University, she was an NAIA All-American, NAIA champion in the 200 breast stroke and the runner-up in the 100 breaststroke.  Harris’ sophomore season was highlighted after she brought home the Tigers’ first women’s national title of 2014 in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:19.55.
