The Ball State baseball team has added a home game Tuesday against Indiana Tech. The Cardinals and Warriors will meet at 3 p.m. at Ball Diamond.
Ball State had a schedule opening after two games last week were called off because of weather -- a midweek game against Valparaiso and the final game of its weekend series at Buffalo.
The Cardinals split the first two games of the Buffalo series and will enter Tuesday’s contest at 18-9 overall (4-1 Mid-American Conference).
Indiana Tech is 13-11-1 overall and 5-1 in the NAIA’s Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference after a Sunday doubleheader sweep of Concordia.
Ball State owns a 9-2 lead in the all-time series with Indiana Tech, including five straight wins. The Cardinals posted a 7-6 win in the most recent meeting, April 3, 2012.
Tuesday’s game will be the first of two midweek contests this week for Ball State, which was already scheduled to travel to Northern Kentucky for a 3 p.m. first pitch Wednesday.
