MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to Dartmouth in dual action Friday evening at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 4-5 overall, while the Big Green improved their dual mark to 10-3 on the year.
Dartmouth took the doubles point from the Cardinals after winning on courts one and three. Patrick Elliott and Andrew Stutz won 8-4 at the No. 2 doubles position taking down Dartmouth's twosome of Diego Pedraza and Chris Kipouras.
In singles action, Dartmouth took five of the six singles matches from Ball State. Elliott captured the lone point for the Cardinals with a straight set victory over Kipouras, 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 2 position . With the win Elliott improved his overall dual record to 6-2 on the season.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues its three match weekend at home when it hosts Illinois State Saturday at 1 p.m. and Anderson University at 6:30 p.m., both match will be played at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
