Men's Tennis Loses 6-1 On The Road At Xavier

XAVIER, Ohio - The Ball State men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss on the road at Xavier Wednesday afternoon in dual action.  With the loss the Cardinals drop to 4-3 on the season while the Musketeers improve to 6-5 for the year.

Xavier took the doubles point from Ball State after winning on courts one and three.  At No. 2 doubles the Cardinals twosome of Patrick Elliott and Andrew Stutz took down the Musketeers Adam Krull and Matt Bishop by a score of 8-4.

With Xavier having the 1-0 edge over Ball State heading into singles, the Musketeers would then take five of the six singles matches from the Cardinals.  On court four, Lucas Andersen defeated Adam Krull in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 for Ball State's lone point of the competition.

The Ball State men's tennis team continues dual action on the road at No. 10 Notre Dame Saturday at 7 p.m. The Cardinals and the Irish will participate in the 2014 College Match Day series which will be streamed live on ESPN3.
