Gymnasts Win Three of Four Individual Events


Ball State's gymnastics team suffered a 191.850 to 191.050 loss at Southeast Missouri despite winning individual titles in three of four events in the meet.

Denasiha Christian led the Cardinals by winning the vault with a 9.850 mark and taking the title on the floor with a 9.825.  The 9.850 score on the vault tied Christian's career high.

Jessica Leko managed a career high 9.725 to win the individual title on the balance beam, while Miranda Kuehl was third with a 9.675 and Angie Hosbach was fourth with a 9.500.  Keuhl's mark was a career best for her in the event.  Hosbach also posted a fourth place finish on the bars with a 9.725.

Brooke Evans took second on the vault and tied her career best with a 9.825, while Kristin Vignola managed a career high 9.775 on the floor.

Ball State returns to Irving Gym in the school's Student Recreation and Wellness Center Friday for its annual Think Pink Meet vs. Kent State.  The meet begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free of charge to all fans.
