MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team continues non-conference action when it welcomes Cincinnati Saturday at 1 p.m. and IPFW Sunday at 3 p.m. Both matches will be played indoors at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
The Ball State women's tennis team is under the direction of first year head coach Max Norris. Norris has guided the Cardinals to a 5-1 overall record so far this season marking it one of the best dual action starts in program history. Ball State recently picked up a noteable win with a 4-3 upset over Big Ten foe Michigan State in East Lansing, Jan. 26.
Ball State's hard work has not gone unnoticed as across the Mid-American Conference with sophomore Courtney Earnest and junior Courtney Wild the first two MAC Player of the Week honors. Earnest currently is undefeated in dual action with a 6-0 record while Wild is 4-1 for the year.
After this weekend, the Ball State women's tennis team will continue its five-match homestand with a double-header Saturday, Feb. 22 against Marquette (12 p.m.) and Dayton (5 p.m.).
