Women's Swim and Dive Hosts Miami on Friday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women’s swimming and diving team host the Miami RedHawks for a dual meet at 6 p.m. at the Lewellen Aquatics Center. The meet will mark the third MAC dual meet for the Cardinals this season.

Ball State is coming off losses at Michigan State, 182-118, and Toledo, 171-124. Miami has won three straight most recently defeating Bowling Green 179-111. The RedHawks have also picked up wins against Akron and Xavier and dropped its season opener to Purdue.

Miami’s Stephanie LeMire has won at least one individual event in every contest this season, except against Xavier where she was a member of the victorious 200 medley relay. LeMire is right behind Ruehl in the MAC in the 100 breaststroke. Ruehl’s season-best time is a 1:03.61 while LeMire’s season-best time is a 1:03.92.

Senior Haley Richter owns the best 100 fly time in the MAC this season after clocking a 55.99 against Ohio. The 200 medley relay of Mallory Miles, Ruehl, Richter and Carlena Magley have turned in the best time in the conference this season at 1:45.37.

The two teams met last season in Oxford, Ohio with the RedHawks coming out on top, 175-104. Ruehl, Madie Zirzow and Katelyn Pratt earned individual wins for the Cardinals.
