Women's Swim and Dive Competes in Red-White Meet
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's swimming and diving team competed in its annual Red-White meet in preparation for the upcoming season. The Red team defeated the White team by a score of 80-74.
The Red team got on the board first winning the 200 yard medley relay (Courtney Mudd, Bridgette Ruehl, Haley Richter and Audrey Rodawig). The Red squad's Jordan VanWinkle and Haley Richter would win the 200 IM and 100 fly respectively. The 200 free relay of Rodawig, Mudd, Jessica Extine and VanWinkle took another win for the Red team.
The White team got on the board after Quinn Bixler won the 1M diving competition. The White team's 800 free relay of Genevieve Hayes, Elaine Pitsas, Leighann Mattson and Carlena Magley would also take home a win.
The Red team came back with Richter and Ruehl winning the 100 back and 100 breast. Jamie Denlinger of the Red team earned a victory in the 3M . The event wrapped up with the White team's Magley, Pitsas, Kara Berg and Hayes posting the fastest time in the 400 free relay.
Ball State will host Ohio on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. for the first dual meet of the season at Lewellen Aquatic Center. Check ballstatesports.com for updates on Ball State women's swimming and diving.
