SALEM, N.C. - The Ball State women's tennis team completed its second fall invitational Sunday afternoon at Wake Forest, as the Cardinals closed out the tournament with a 5-2 singles mark.
Sophomore Courtney Earnest concluded her second weekend of fall play with an unblemished record of 4-0. Earnest turned in a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Diana Bukajeva of Stetson in the flight B finals.
The Cardinals started the weekend off with a 6-1 singles mark and a 4-4 doubles record. The twosome of Courtney Wild and Ashlyn Rang advanced to the finals in the flight B bracket but lost Saturday in the championship match.
The Ball State women's tennis team will take next weekend off before traveling to Memphis, Tenn., Friday Oct. 18 to participate in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional.
