Field Hockey Hosts UC Davis Wednesday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team returns home to the BSU Turf Field at the Briner Sports Complex Wednesday, Sept. 25 when it hosts UC Davis at 3 p.m.

The Cardinals are coming off of a split weekend after earning a 3-2 win at Lindenwood before falling 4-2 to Saint Louis. Freshman Lexi Kavanaugh scored three goals during the weekend, including two against Lindenwood. Junior Tarel Teach secured a goal in the Lindenwood win and also tallied an assist.

Sophomore goalkeeper Shelby Henley has a 2.71 goals against average and has tallied 65 saves.

SCOUTING UC DAVIS: The Aggies are 1-4 this season and are currently on a four-game skid. Danielle Koehne leads the offense with four goals on the season. Danielle Herrington has played the majority of the minutes in goal and has a 3.29 goals against average.

SERIES HISTORY: This marks the second time these two squads have met. UC Davis took a 3-2 win back on Oct. 10, 2010 when the teams played in Muncie.
