Wild and Rang Win Doubles Final at Ball State Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team continued its strong play Saturday on day two of the BSU Fall Invite.

Courtney Wild paired up with Ashlyn Rang to become the doubles flight C champions after beating Eastern Kentucky's Amanda Faouzi and Marcela Jimenez, 8-2.  The twosome of Bethany Moore and Kristel Sanders will play in the doubles flight A consolation final Sunday morning.  Also in doubles action, Toni Ormond and Courtney Earnest compete in the Flight B doubles finals.

After Wild defeated fellow Mid-American Conference opponent Alix Thurman of Miami University 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, she now has claimed her spot in the singles flight A final.  Wild will face Christiana Raymond of Miami for the championship.  Rang, Ormond and Rozenberg all advanced to the semifinals in each of their respective flights.  Later in the day, Ormond earned a spot in the final flight C consolation round, which will be played tomorrow.

The Ball State women's tennis team will wrap up the third and final day of the BSU Fall Invite Sunday which is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
