Women’s Golf Completes First Two Rounds at Louisville

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- Jenna Hague posted back-to-back rounds of 73 to lead the Ball State women’s golf team Monday on the opening day of Louisville’s Cardinal Cup.

Hague is tied for eighth place on the individual leaderboard at 2-over par 146, while the Cardinals sit in 11th place as a team with 18 holes to play at The Cardinal Club.

The final round of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday with an 8:40 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring is available at

Ball State finished Monday with a 54-hole total of 627 (315-312) as a team. Louisville is the only team under par through two rounds, leading the 13-team field at 9-under par 567. Kansas is second at 5-over.

Laura Restrepo of Louisville tops the individual leaderboard at 7-under and is one of only four players under par for the tournament.

Following Hague for Ball State, Meghan Perry carded a two-round total of 159 (82-77), while Mary Welch came in at 161 (82-79). Sarah Westaway posted a 36-hole score of 164 (81-83), while Karley Dobis rounded out the lineup at 165 (79-86).

Brenna Obergfell, competing as an individual this week, is tied with Dobis at 166 (86-80).
