MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State softball team will help celebrate homecoming by hosting its first alumni weekend under head coach Tyra Perry at the BSU Softball Complex Oct. 12-13.
“We are very excited for our first alumni event as a staff,” Perry said. “Ball State softball has a rich tradition and we are looking forward to connecting with the former players who helped our program reach the level of success it currently enjoys.”
The softball squad will kickoff its alumni weekend slate of events Saturday (Oct. 12) with a 1 p.m. tailgate party at the BSU Softball Complex prior to football’s 3 p.m. homecoming game versus Kent State.
At halftime of the football game, members of the 2013 softball team will be presented with their Mid-American Conference Regular Season Championship rings in a special ceremony on the Scheumann Stadium field.
The alumni event will culminate Sunday (Oct. 13) with an 11 a.m. alumni game, which is slated to pit the 2013-14 Cardinals versus alumni who wish to participate.
