Cardinal Cuts, which debuted last season, matches the video and the radio play-by-play calls of each Ball State football game, allowing fans to relive all the action. Joel Godett, the Voice of the Cardinals, serves as the play-by-play commentator for Ball State football and men's basketball on 104.1 WLBC. In conjunction with Jared Law, the Cardinals director of video operations and technology, the two will feature the highlights on a weekly basis.
Ball State defeated Illinois State, the 10th ranked team at the FCS level, 51-28 to open the 2013 season. The game was highlighted by five total touchdowns from quarterback Keith Wenning and a nine catch/two touchdown day from receiver Willie Snead. The defense also shined with 15 tackles for loss and an interception from sophomore linebacker Ben Ingle. Jamill Smith was the special teams standout with a 90-yard kickoff return.
The Cardinals remain home this weekend to host Army at 1PM in a game that can be heard on the Ball State Radio Network featuring Godett, Mark O'Connell, Luke Martin and Jeff Weller. The flagship station of the Ball State Radio Network is WLBC 104.1 FM.
