 Ball State men's tennis head coach Bill Richards has announced the hiring of Cliff Morrison as the Cardinals' graduate assistant coach.

"Cliff was an outstanding player and student who was highly respected by his teammates," said Richards.  "He is a hard worker and has a great tennis mind. I am confident he will do a great job in his new role as graduate assistant coach."

Morrison remains at Ball State after earning four letters playing for Richards from 2008-13.  During his tenure at Ball State, Morrison helped the Cardinals to their 36th and 37th Mid-American Conference regular or tournament titles along with their seventh NCAA Tournament appearance. 

His individual honors include earning the Most Outstanding Player of the MAC Tournament in 2011.  He was also named second team All-MAC in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013. Morrison also had success in the classroom, earning three Academic All-MAC honors.  He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State in actuarial science in May of 2013.

The Ball State men's tennis team begins fall action when it plays at the Milwaukee Classic, Sept. 13-15.
