Viktor Maksimcuk enters his second season on the coaching staff with the Ball State women's tennis team.

“"Viktor did a tremendous job last season and he played integral part in our successes last season," Ball State head women's tennis coach Max Norris said.  "Viktor is an excellent teacher in practice and match situations. He can also relate to the players and teach them about what he went through as he was an All-American player for Louisville."

Maksimcuk earned his bachelor's degree from Louisville in May 2012.  He lettered all four years in tennis for the Cardinals.  Maksimcuk helped Louisville win Big East and ITA regional championships in 2010 and 2011.  The Cardinals won an NCAA Regional and advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2010.

Individually, Maksimcuk was a 2010 ITA National Indoor doubles qualifier, 2010 Midwest Region doubles champion, 2011 NCAA doubles quarterfinalist, 2011 Doubles All-American and a four-time All-Big East Conference Team recipient.  He earned a national ranking all four years for Louisville.  Academically, Maksimcuk was on the dean's list for four semesters.  Maksimcuk served as the undergraduate assistant for the Louisville men’s tennis team during the 2011-12 season.

 Prior to accepting the position at Ball State, Maksimcuk assisted the business manager at the tennis center in Louisville.
