Rachael Pruett, a former Ball State women's golfer and graduate assistant with the Cardinals' program, has been named the associate head golf coach at Cleveland State.
Pruett will serve with head coach Steve Weir, who guides both the men's and women's programs for the Vikings. In her new role, she will lead the efforts of the Cleveland State women's team.
Pruett spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant under Ball State head coach Katherine Mowat. She helped the Cardinals to a Mid-American Conference runner-up finish in 2011-12 and to a program record-tying four tournament victories in 2012-13.
A native of Linton, Ind., Pruett lettered four years at Ball State, ending her career with a 78.78 scoring average that ranks second in program history. She was a two-time Academic All-MAC selection and a four-time Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar.
