DAYTON, Ohio -- Jenna Hague of the Ball State women's golf team won two more matches Friday to reach the finals of the 113th Western Women's Golf Association National Amateur Championship.

Ball State's rising junior from Ontario will square off with Clemson freshman-to-be Ashlan Ramsey Saturday in the 36-hole championship match at Dayton Country Club. Ramsey is the No. 2 player in the latest Golfweek women's amateur world rankings.

Friday morning, Hague opened her second straight two-match day with a 4 and 3 quarterfinal victory over Ohio State signee Jessica Porvasnik. In the afternoon semifinals, she posted a 2 and 1 win over Arkansas golfer Hally Leadbetter, the daughter of renowned golf instructor David Leadbetter.

The victories secured Hague’s spot in the finals as the field of 144 players that started the event at the beginning of the week was whittled down to the final two.

Hague and teammate Meghan Perry originally earned spots in the championship flight of match play after two rounds of stroke-play qualifying earlier in the week. Hague then won five match-play contests over the past three days to advance to the finals. Perry has been on the bag as her caddie for the past two days.

Two more Ball State golfers -- Sarah Westaway and Karley Dobis -- also won two matches each on Friday to claim titles in consolation flights at the tournament. Westaway closed out the fourth flight with a 2 and 1 win over Maria Mancini, while Dobis finished off the fifth flight with a 6 and 5 win over Katharine Creighton.

The Women's Western Amateur is one of the oldest and most prestigious women's amateur tournaments in the United States, having been contested since 1901. It counts among its past champions a number of eventual LPGA standouts, including Nancy Lopez, Beth Daniel, Cristie Kerr, Grace Park and Stacy Lewis.
