Football Game at North Texas to be Televised


Ball State's football game at North Texas Sept. 14, has been chosen to be televised as part of the Conference USA TV package on Fox Sports Net.

This marks the fourth game of the 2013 season already scheduled for television.  The Cardinals will be on ESPN2 live from Scheumann Stadium Nov. 6, vs. Central Michigan.  Ball State is scheduled to be on ESPN2 or ESPNU Nov. 13, at Northern Illinois.  The Cardinals Nov. 29 home game vs. Miami University Nov. 29 is slated for either ESPNU or ESPN3.

Under the direction of third-year head football coach Pete Lembo, Ball State returns 39 letterwinners, including 13 starters, from a 2012 team that posted a 9-4 overall record and 6-2 mark in the Mid-American Conference.  The Cardinals culminated the 2012 season with a trip to the Beef 'O' Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl.

Ball State will open the 2013 season Thurs., Aug. 29, at home vs. Illinois State and then host Army at Scheumann Stadium Sat. Sept. 7, before facing North Texas in the televised contest.
