DEKALB, Ill. - Patrick Elliott of the Ball State men's tennis team was named to the All-Mid-American Conference Tournament team for the first time in his career.
“Patrick played well in the tournament and was a consistent winner for us in both singles and doubles all year,” said head coach Bill Richards. He is very deserving of the selection.
Elliott ended the season with a dual mark of 17-5 and a 4-1 MAC ledger. He was named MAC Player of the Week April 10. Elliott helped the Cardinals to earn the 2013 MAC regular season championship title. The MAC regular season crown was the first for the Cardinals since the 2006 season. Ball State has now won 21 MAC titles in program history, including 17 undefeated MAC seasons.
Elliott closed out the season with a straight set victory over Northern Illinois' Max Phillips at the MAC Tournament Friday.
