NASHPORT, Ohio -- Ball State women's golfer Jenna Hague and coach Katherine Mowat were honored with postseason awards Sunday at the conclusion of the 2013 Mid-American Conference Championship.

Hague, a sophomore, was named to the All-MAC First Team, while Mowat was selected as the league's coach of the year.

Mowat is now a two-time recipient of coach-of-the-year honors, having also won in 2010. Hague is a two-time all-conference performer, having been named to the second team last year as a freshman.

Hague won two tournaments this year -- the SCU Colby Invitational in the fall and the EKU Colonel Classic in the spring. She finished in the top 5 in six of Ball State's 12 events, including a tie for fourth place at this weekend's MAC Championship.

Named the MAC Golfer of the week three times this year, Hague managed the second-best stroke average in program history at 77.30. The Burlington, Ontario, product owns four career titles in just two years at Ball State and was also selected Sunday to the MAC All-Tournament Team for the second year in a row.

Hague's first-team all-conference selection is just the fourth ever for the Cardinals. Katie Sundberg was a first-team pick in 2005, and Brittany Kelly was in both 2010 and 2011.

Mowat guided the Cardinals to one of the best seasons in program history this year. Ball State matched the program record by winning four team championships, while the Cardinals also boasted three individual titles throughout the year, two for Hague and one for Meghan Perry.

In her ninth year as the Ball State head coach, Mowat has built the program into one of the best in the league. The Cardinals have placed in the top 4 at the MAC Championship four straight years, including a pair of runner-up finishes.

Ball State finished up this year's MAC Championship on Sunday with a fourth-place result.
