Wild and Earnest Receive All-MAC Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - Courtney Wild and Courtney Earnest of the Ball State women's tennis team have earned All-Mid-American Conference accolades.   

Wild was named All-MAC First Team for the second straight season.  Wild owns a 16-4 dual mark and a 6-2 league record at the No. 1 singles position.  She started the MAC season with five straight wins over league schools' Miami University, Akron, Buffalo, Toledo, and Eastern Michigan.

Earnest has received All-MAC Second Team honors as a true freshman.  Earnest owns a 19-5 dual mark with a 6-2 MAC ledger.  Earnest has won her past three MAC matches after posting victories at Bowling Green, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. 

Both Wild and Earnest have been doubles partners this season at the No. 1 position and own a 4-4 record in league action.

The Ball State women's tennis team will be the No. 4 seed in 2013 MAC Tournament which will be hosted by the Cardinals in Muncie, Ind., at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center Friday through Sunday.  Ball State will face No. 5 Western Michigan Friday at 10 a.m.
