MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (15-7, 4-0 MAC) remained undefeated in the Mid-American Conference Sunday after its 7-0 sweep over Chicago State at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
The Cardinals took the early 1-0 edge over the Cougars winning on courts two and three. Ball State seniors Dalton Albertin and Austin Sansone paired up in their last home match of their careers at the No. 2 position. The two seniors would take down Jean Paul Jones and Julian Chavez, 8-6.
Ball State took all six singles matches from Chicago State. Albertin, Imanol Arconada, Patrick Elliott, Alexandre Brym, Austin Smith and Sansone all won in straight sets at their respective positions. Albertin and Elliott did not give up a game in their second sets each winning 6-1, 6-0. Smith and Sansone also did not give up a game in their first sets.
The Ball State men's tennis team will continue its Mid-American Conference regular season at Buffalo Saturday. First serve is at 11 a.m. The Cardinals will be competing for the MAC regular season crown against the Bulls.
