Cody Campbell, a junior on the Ball State baseball team, has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week.
It marks the second time this season Campbell has earned the weekly honor. He was also selected after his four games in Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 22-24.
Campbell batted .438 in four games last week and helped Ball State to a 2-1 series win at Western Michigan in Mid-American Conference action.
Campbell was 7-for-16 with seven runs-batted-in, four runs scored, two doubles and nine total bases in the four contests last week. He managed a .563 slugging percentage. In addition, Campbell managed one sacrifice hit and was 1-for-1 on stolen bases on the week.
Ball State will host Bowling Green Tuesday and travel to Purdue Wednesday in non-conference games before hosting Central Michigan in a three-game series Friday through Sunday at Ball Diamond.
